There are alot people on this site and many other sites that say to strip the Ultra Classic to look like the Street Glide if trying to decide between the two bikes. Does anyone have any pics of this mod done to the UC? Thanks
Definitely cheaper to go with the Ultra to begin with and then strip it down.
I have a Road King Classic and I swapped out the leather bags for the color matched hard bags, added fairing lowers, added a Tour Pak, and added a Dragonfly fairing.
When I bought my Road King, I wasn't really into baggers. I just fell in love with it on the floor and went with it. If I would've known then what I know now, I would've probably gotten an Electra Glide Classic instead. It would've been cheaper to just take off the stuff on the EGC than to add it to the RK. On the other hand, I can dress my bike up like an Electra Glide, I can dress it halfway up like a Street Glide, or I can strip it down like a Road King. So it's pretty much 3 bikes in one.
