I own two wind vest shields.
I have seen the the clear views and the quality of both. They seem to be the same in that way. The difference seems to be in cost and delivery. I have not checked in a while but the clear views had about a 4-6 week delivery time with many guys on here complaining about extended times. The wind vest was received in less than 10 days. The wind vest is definitely more money though. My 6" cost me 129.00 from them + shipping. I know or at least I knew that clear view was less money. It all boils down to the " Gotta Have Now Factor". So there you have it.
It's been a long time since I had a Clearview. I have Windvest on both bikes, now. I think (and several others commented to the same) the curve on the Windvest is a little greater........making them a little more efficient at putting the wind force up over the top of your head.
OpenRoad, your are correct.
I have the Clearview on my Ultra now. I did see a WindVest shield at the International Bike Show a couple of months ago and the curve appeared to be more pronounced on the WindVest compared to the Clearview.
I am going to order a WindVest very soon and give it a try. Not that I have a problem with the Clearview.
I want to try the smoked color so I figure I might as well give it a try.
