I rode mine around the block yesterday for the first time this year after I put on new wheels and brakes just to see if I had it all right. But at 20 degrees that was all I wanted. But the look on my nieghbors face was priceless.
Good for you. I too have to watch the weather here in CO and get my rides in when I can during the winter. I love Co. and would never leave, but I have to admit I sometimes envy those that live in the south where they can ride all year.
First ride of the year yesterday. Got up into the high 40's, sun shining, ice melted off the drive, and I'm back in the saddle again. Oh my Gosh, I can't tell you how great that feels after months of being locked up in the cabin... The world is finally right, at least my little world. A couple hundred miles, no bugs, crisp air, wind in my face, and sun in the sky. It just doesn't get any better!! Had to share this with all my Forum Buds...
Great news bigsky. Don't know how you folks up north can go months without riding.
My limit is about 2 weeks and after that my sanity starts to fade.
I totally understand. I relocated to Puerto Rico last week. It's been in the upper 60's to the mid 80's since I've been here. I went again today to get my my truck and bike out of customs. BS, I must go back next week and explain to these people that I'm not importing them to resell. I just want to ride and take them home when I go. They are talking $ 3000 or more......for taxes.. So I'll be standing aroung all weekend with my thumb up my bu... Congrats on your ride.
I don't know how you folks up North do it..........It would kill me not to be able to ride for months.........My 2nd ride would have to be a snowmobile.......
Thank God for the Southeast...........
Salt? We got a whopping 2" of rain this winter! But I'd still trade some snow for a 300K P.O.S "first" house.
How about the taxes your glorious leaders just imposed on all of the "tax paying" citizens of your state. I wouldn't be surprised to see a mass exodus out of Ca. Leave it to the movie stars and illegals.
just gotta say i am not a bagger guy myself but DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! yr bike is awesome!!!!!!
Thanks Old School. Great day to ride again today...Just got back. Harley's everywhere I'd look. Even saw a few crotch rockets, and two Victory's. It's a great day to be me... Saturday, Sun, Bikes, it's all good up here, and everything's right on the planet.... At least for a few days...
