For you guys with the painted inner fairings how do you clean them and not worry about getting the radio and speakers too wet? On my stock inner I just dust it off but when I install the new painted one i want to take a better approach to cleaning it.
I haven't had to clean mine yet because it's been stored since I had it painted but I washed the original inner fairing, carefully, with a hose when washing the bike and haven't had any problems. I probably wouldn't used a power washer on it though if I were you.

I clean the inside just like I do the outside.......hose with a spray nozzle.....been working for years.
Make sure the cover of the stereo is closed as well as the auxillary jack plug. I put the nozzle on more of a semi-spray (rather than the concentrated blast) so that it's just about the same as riding in a driving rain. I don't focus directly on the stereo or the speakers.
It really hasn't been an issue on my current two or previous two bikes.
The bike is designed to be ridden in the rain, so water on the radio, gauges, and speakers is not a problem. As noted in other posts, just stay away from the pressure.
I hardly ever use water on the outside parts so I will probably continue to not use water on the outside or inside of the fairing. I clean my bike with detailing spray and a micro towel.
I use Wizards Wash in a spray bottle and good Microfiber towels to wipe it down. I got a small travel size spray bottle for when Im on extended road trips and keep the towels in a Ziplock freezer bag to keep them clean and dry
I limit the water usage on the inner fairing to overspray only. I use a fiber cloth and HD spray polish/cleaner to wipe down the gauges and fairing parts.

Only because you have a white bike. I've seen some dark bikes that people have wiped(scratched) clean.
