When I bought my scoot, in my niavity, I had them install a quick release system for the tour pack. Considering I've had it nearly 2 years and never taken it off, this was stupid, but thats the way it is.
At any rate, I've noticed lately when I ride it seemed the tour pack was making noise like it was loose. Sure enough, when I got back from a ride last night, I finally stopped and looked around the mounts and lifted up on the tour pack only to find the whole thing lifted up about an eighth to a quarter inch. It would appear there is slack at the stud/slot mounts so that it is not staying tight. Is there any way to tighten this back up? It was not like that when I first got it.
Those aluminum bushings by Gilbo solved most of the problem for me. I still get a bit of a rattle at idle, but I'm convinced it's not just the mounts. There's a lot of mass being held on those detachable mounting points and it may just be inherent in the system. But I also remember a post a few weeks back from a guy with the permanent mount on an Ultra that was complaining about the same problem.
If you don't plan on taking it off, why not go on ebay a grab a stock mount. Then you don't have to worry about someone wallking off with your tourpak and it should quiet it up.
If you dont want to buy aluminium bushings loosen your mount bolts and spin your bushing 90 degrees , this is a band aid not a cure,Your bushings have worn a flat spot on the bottom.

OK, I'm stumped. I never had a "tour pack" and thought they all were made for 2-up riding. NOW I see this? What is this set up that is meant for solo riding??
If you aren't going to remove the tour pack ask around your local dealers for "take off" parts. My entire mounting system was free from various local dealers because a LOT of people switch to the quick release & leave their stock parts behind.

You know I saw that and thought the same thing!!!!!!!!! solo with a tour pack??????
That solo tour pack looks a little funny to me but damn that looks comfortable. I do not have the quick connect and i am always checking mine. The only time it does not rattle is when loaded.
