Default Quick trip up the coast

Two of my buddies and I took a quick day ride up the coast to the Hoh Rain Forest. Started out from home, sunny and 39 degrees. Warmed up in about an hour into the mid to high 40's and once we hit the Hoh River road the temps dropped again into the mid 30's with snow on the shoulders of the very shaded road. Beautiful ride up the coast. We hit the park for a quick stop, warmed our hands on the bathroom hand dryers and got ready to head back out. Before we left an elk blessed us with her presence moseying across the parking lot. It had been snowing up there a couple weeks ago pretty good and a lot of snow was left in some of the grassy areas. A great day for a ride, a special treat for February!!

I admit to Googling Hoh Rain Forest to see which coast you were on, which state you were in. Its lovely, what wonderful pics of a great ride.
We keep Hot Shots for our hands and feet for the cold rides, they really work.
Thank you for teasing us, we will have to wait out the next couple of months because we are on the other side of the mountain range and border: Alberta, Canada

Great pics, looks cold though. Bet it felt good to get out with some friends and ride.

We need to see more ride reports with pics on this forum.

Thanks for the post.

Great pics. Considerably more scenic than the rides I've been able to take lately. Looks like it was alot of fun.

I have a set of Gerbing gloves, just didn't need 'em. For the most part it was pretty warm, (relatively speaking) along the coast, in the 50's. Definitely a great day!

There is the "Road Trips" forum, probably should have posted there. PastorJohn has a great pictorial of a Carolina trip he took.
