I just did an HD diamondback on my 08 RK. I like the chrome adjuster sleeve vs the black boot. There's other good cables out there, Magnum, Barnett, ect..
I think harley makes two basic types of braided cables for this bike. They are in the catalog. I am going to change mine out after the economy gets rolling again. I think when I do I will go to the dealer and put both , or how ever many they make, in my hands and see which one feels like the best quality. I will also look at the Made in ***** tag.
Do the make the Dimondback in the USA? Just wondering. I am trying to put only american made parts on my bike. Not throwing stones or anything, but the chinese have already got us down on our knees begging for loans. You can blame the Gov. if you like, but we have a choice that can keep this decision out of the hands of our paid for reps.
What look are you going for?
HD Diamondback & Magnum Sterling Chromite look almost chrome.
Barnett looks like braided cables are supposed to look.....like braided cables.
Dennis Kirk was able to fit me with throttle, idle, clutch and, brake line for about $215. @ H-D you'd be lucky to get the throttle/idle cables for that and they don't look 1/2 as good.

Ditto on the Chromite II. I just finished installing mine last night..had them on my old bike too and they look great.
I will give everbody a tip DO NOT BUY Magnum Sterling Chromite PLUG WIRES they will screw up . and cause your bike to stall and all kind of goffy $hit. I had them on my wifes bike for 6 months before the problems started. it was a expensive dissnotic since it was intermited. now we are back to stock black one and no more problems
Magnum Sterling Chromite did not stand behind there product at all
