Default Clearview or FastAire ?

Hey guys, I was just looking at FastAire's web site and must say that their shields look pretty nice. Their pricing is way less than clearview. I know a lot of members here swear by Clearview's quality and function. I was looking at their discounted blemished models and they're around $78-$79, plus shipping. I'm in Canada, and I usually get hit with the brokerage fees from UPS, by the time I'm done with the exchange it'll probably cost me $120-$140. Should I just go with the FastAire ? They are about $30. Are the Clearviews worth the extra money ? Would a Fastaire 9" do the same job as a 8" Clearview with the recurve ? Thanks everyone. Sorry for all the questions....
ride safe.

I went from a 9" FastAire to a 8" Clearview with recurve.............and the FastAire provided much better protection.

I got rid of the Clearview, and went back to a FastAire.......10" dark smoke this time.

You can't beat the FastAire for price, quality, and delivery.

I am very happy with my 8" fastaire for the cold weather riding season. The quality, customer service and delivery time was top notch and for the price even if it doesn't do what you want, out of pocket cash is minimal.

Don't know how the two compare, but I have been using the Fastaire 8' dark gray for several thousand miles now and have been totally satisfied with its performance. And you really can't beat the price....!

I bought an 8" and a 10" fast aire. I could see over the 8" like I want to, but the wind was hitting me right in the eyes. I could barely keep a pair of glass on. The 10" gave good wind protection for my eyes, but I was looking half over and half through the windshield. I don't like that at all.

I tried the 8" clearview with the recurve. I see over it and the wind hits me at the top of my forehead instead of the eyes. I like it alot.

I have no complaints about the fastaire products. They are very good products for the money. The only real difference between the two, other than the re-curve, is the fast aire are cut from a flat piece of material and you shape it to fit your fairing. The clearview is shaped to fit like the stock windshields are.

I like them both, but like the clearview enough better to justify the difference in price. This is the first time I have tried a windshield height that I look over instead of through, and I will not go back. My visibility is much better, especially in the rain.

Buddy of mine had a Fastair and then switched to the Clearview with recurve - said he liked the Clearview a lot better. I have a clearview with recurve also and it is a great shield - highly recommended.

Do not allow these vendors to send you stuff any other way than USPS - you will get bent over with no vaseline, especially with UPS.

I haven't bought one yet but have read good reviews on the F4 whindshields they are scatch proof and you can use windex and rain-x on it. Anyone try one of these yet? check them out on line the price was about the same as a factory replacement part.
