Can't really talk myself into cuttng off the u bar over the back fender. But I moved my tag bracket and would like to put a 1 peice chrome or decrotive peice over the two holes. The only thing i found is the one Kuryakyn sells.Any tips out there!!!!:

You can also buy the Street Glide chrome tube that has no provision for the bolts; just a smooth chrome tube. Bought mine for $20. Ask the dealer if they have installed any Stealth Luggage racks on SG's and have the take-off tubes or get the name of the customers and contact them. the Stealth Luggage rack replaces the tube.

don't be skeered, you can buy a new u bar if you really have to return it to stock for cheap.
i think it really cleans up the back end a lot, here's mine:
I found a set of brackets off dennis Kirk that fit in the holes and let you take the support bar off. If you want to put it back on later, power to ya!
