After long deliveration and working hard I finally finish the sound system on my 07 RKC with lower fairings. The system include two handle bar mounted speakers from DWG with a 200 watt amp, which is direct plug in into a mp3 player Ipod Nano, the two speakers on the lower fairings are from my boat, waterproof ue to be white but alittle trim paint works great. I fabricated a means to mount them on the lower fairings. The lower fairings are the none vented so when I got them I did not get the glove holder. IN the starboard side, sorry Navy in me. The right side fairing house the amp it was very small. The amp only two input jack so I got a pair or RC adapter with one female end and two male end to plug the speakers into. So the amp is feeding four speaker the left side feeds the speakers on the handle bar the right side feeds the speakers on the lowers.
I routed the input line under the center console and emerge just in front of the saddle. It was hard to control the Nano's volume with gloves on. so I got a in-line volume control fromradio shack and incoporated. Now I can adjust the volume even with thick gloves on during those cold days. I hope the photos I've attached are clear enough. Oh yeah the Nano is mounted on top of the tank just below the main switch with velcro as you can see in the photo.
