Default Baker Plus One

Anyone tried it? I read an article where it was preferred over an oil cooler because of the "flow restrictions" caused by an oil cooler. I'm thinking about getting one. Anyone know of a good (lower than MSRP) source?

I bought a prototype, made of billet Alum for $400 directly from Baker before the cast ones were available. I run it on a 116" Twincam with a Harley oil cooler. Originally bought it for a Baker DDR 6 behind an S&S 124". Baker didn't "know" the oil will NOT fit an S&S motor...

A Jagg 10 row oil cooler setup is about $350. So I was thinking if I could get the +1 for about the same, I might go that route.

If you can get the pan for the same price, I'd go that route too. I think the cooler just adds clutter.

The article I read also stated that the cooler adds potential for leaks at the hose connections, and strains the oil pump.

Oil coolers over thirty years............never one leak. Jagg prides themselves for low restriction units, and the Twinkie oil pressure is plenty strong enough (hence the 10 micron oil filters). One of Bakers points is that extra oil will help the oil stay cooler, but an oil cooler adds 6-8 ozs.

Have Baker +1. Oil seems to flow good. No proof if it lowers temps like Baker claims.

Did not want typical oil cooler up front - low.

Yep, lots of money....so, what isn't on a HD? hundred dollar?
