Help with Removing Lower Fork Slider

Help with Removing Lower Fork Slider

Got the 6mm screw out of the lower slider and then removed the metal retaining clip on top of the slider (which came out pretty easy). Slider still does not want to come off. Is there something else I'm missing. Looks like there is just the seal and a little spring like band on top. Don't want to force it off if I'm missing something. Thanks for any help......

It's now a slide hammer. Just yank the tube & lower in opposite directions a few times. They'll come apart.

Get a buudy have him hold the leg you grab the fork tube and pull. It takes about three good jerks.

O.K., got the slider off - thanks for the help. Now, I assume you have to pry the lower retaining ring open to be able to slide the seal assembly off of the upper tube?
