The best thing to put here over the top is the before & after pictures
Before
After
You had to do the before and after didn't you.. Oh MY God.. that is awesome. I guess I have my next winter project- painted inner fairing and chrome controls...... the money never ends
Opinions please. I moved the GPS tonight from the handle bar middle to the left mirror area. It's a great deal higher, much more trifocal friendly but am I getting into trouble by doing so? It's extremely conspicuous which in itself doesn't bother me, but regarding theft temptation... would you do it?
The I'm using the locking ****. The GPS easily comes off and will go with me at all times but the cradle won't easily come off. I'll use a bike cover if at motels. I'm ok, you think?
With the GPS being far from the risers and also held so high off the bars does it vibrate excessively?
As far as being easily stolen, with the locking **** your doing as much as can be expected. A little deterrent for those that are looking for an easy score is all you can do. I think that thieves serious about stealing something will get it no matter what you do.
- << that's the only dash I have!! I look forward to the day I can afford a detachable fairing and gadgets yet... one of these days though.. You fellas have some good lookin' dashes!
>>With the GPS being far from the risers and also held so high off the bars does it vibrate excessively?<<
I'll find out about the vibration Monday (next good wx). It did vibrate when on the handlebar center. I'm using the 5" arm. I imagine it will be a factor. Caught between a rock and... I just have such a hard time with my sight, looking down, trying to find the right lense etc. Three lenses are for the birds .
I'm using the 5" extension arm. I find I cannot use the default or 3" and use the locking ****, not in that location anyway. I'll keep playing until I find a happy medium.
