I use the Rainx "Windshield Washer Solvent" sold at your local Wally World anywhere. This is mostly water with a trace amount of Rainx mixed in along with a very mild lubricant to float the bugs etc. off easy without any damage. Put it in a spritz bottle, spray on and wipe off with a micro fiber cloth. Seems to help keep it a little cleaner also?
If your windshield is made of Lexan, more care has to be given when cleaning it. I, personally, don't like using papertowels on any paint or plastic surfaces on my RG. Microfiber cloths are awesome and can be used on just about any surface. I use this when cleaning my windshield.
If you start with a hot soaked microfiber towel, and leave it on your windshield for a few minutes, the bugs will come right off without heavy scrubbing. After that, use a lexan plastic cleaner (like Plexus) to polish your windshield. This will help reduce the amount of bugs on your windshield, on your next ride.
Just my .02.

[sm=exactly.gif] You should never use windex on HD windshields. Plexus and microfiber cloths are the way to go.
Sorry guys, but I think you guys drank the HD Kool-Aid. I have used windex on every bike I have ever had including my new Harley and have never had a problem.
