Pledge and clean microfiber towel. If windshield has many baked on bugs I wet a terrycloth towel over the windshield first and let set for awhile, then clean.

If mine is really caked with bugs, I microwave a wet microfiber towel and lay it over the windshield. Otherwise, I use Plexus too.

DON'T ask me how I know!!! DO NOT use RainX on a Lexan windshield. Hot, soapy towel-let sit for a couple minutes to soften "bug juice", rub real easy at first so you don't scratch with hard bug particles. My Clearview shield seems to scratch real easy.To finalize: Novus, Plexus, Honda polish, etc.- lots of stuff out there.

If the windshield is buggy, I put a towel soaked in cold soapy water on it to soften up the crusties. If the shield is buggy, the fairing will be also, so I soak it with a cloth and cold water too. I always use cold water because you never supposed to use hot water on paint. Finish up the shield with Plexus or Novus.

What are these "love bugs" you speak of?
