Unhappy windshield cleaner

Hi everyone. What would be the best product for cleaning the windshield on my RK? I have ben told that window cleaners like windex will damage the surface.

I use lemon pledge . And if it's real bugged up I sneak it into the bath tub to soak in hot water . But I didn't tell you to do that !

Just plain old warm soapy water and let it sit some.

Warm soapy water to remove bugs...Novus cleaners/polishes to remove small scratches and crazing.

Ive used meguairs detail spray and wet towels and good ol soap and water and also invisible glass spray window cleaner with no problems. I do keep a good coat of paste wax on it though that seems to help with cleaning also.

Ammonia based products will "craze or harden" plexiglas, lexan, type surfaces.
If you not sure what crazing is....It's those little stress looking cracks that form.
MY profession is Aviation and a 50/50 water alcohol is almost a standard mix for jet aircraft windows anymore

I use a wet rag...let it sit and clean..To protect it I use wax, polish, (eagle one) whatever you want to call it but bugs do not really stick and beads up nicely when raining
They may not show up right away but long term use it will.
