will mu85b16 (rear) fit 01 roadking std 3" laced (w/tube). i here ya to na to trim the belt guard. putt'n on mt90b16 every year is killing my declining budget.
The Dunlop Elite 3 MU85B-16 is about half an inch wider than the MT90B-16 and almost identical in overall diameter. It also has an extra 1/32 inch of tread depth! I doubt if it will be any cheaper to buy and fit.
I prefer Avon Venom myself and wrote to Avon only a few days ago about fitting their tyres to my FLHS. Their reply was that the MT90 would be better replaced with a wider tyre, and their 140 will fit. That is about 3/8 inch wider than their MT90.
I have heard the same as you, that the belt guard needs to be modified. Anyone done it. Any tips? My current Venom MT90 has some life left in it, but will need replacement before too long. A wider tyre would be great.
thanks for the welcome
gonna stay w/matching dunlap, frt www and has 3k. anyone know for sure, i'd feel better before i get one mounted.
