I looked at a bike on ebay in 08. The price was really good as it turns out, too good... I didn't loose any money but someone did try to get into my ebay account. When you are spending that money on a bike, make sure you can see the bricks and mortar of the dealer.
I also wondered about this deal, Im a big E Bayer having sold a few of my bikes on E Bay and bought a lot of parts, also two cars. Im about a half hour drive from his location. I e mailed him and asked him If I could come and see the bike, we"ll see how this plays out Ill let you know his response and the outcome as I myself am intrested in a 09, Thanks Bill

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Are you a Harley Dealer?
A: No, we are not a franchised Harley dealer. We are an independent motorcycle dealer.
Q: Why is the bike described as used but there is only 10 miles on the odometer?
A: Technically, only a franchised Harley dealer can advertise a motorcycle as new.
Q: Will the bike have a warranty?
A: The warranty on all Harley Davidson motorcycles is 2 years from the date of the original purchase and can be transferred to subsequent owners.

A: We will give the VIN number only after we have a signed purchase agreement and a non refundable $500 deposit.

I've purchased several boats, trucks and motorcycles off ebay. Haven't been screwed yet, but that could just be luck. Let us know his response.
Any time you cannot see the vehicle before purchase - PASS. there are several scams on ebay where they are working for the deposit money and then disappear.
That being said, I surf ebay almost everyday looking for misc parts and accessories. Have never had a problem.
Thanks Bill. And thanks to all that responded to this thread. I'm passing on this, and so is my son... We'll just shop the dealer network till we find something for him... Appreciate all the comments. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".... keeps coming to mind...
