Fixin to pull the trigger on a new 08 Ultra with ABS and security. 237000 drive out. Dealer is dropping S&H and set-up plus a $500 gift card for accessories. Any pros or cons on the 08 model?

 

Like mine just fine. Rode a 09. 08 handles just as good unless you ride hard.

 

I don't know about your tax and title fees, but the price seems a little high.

 

I test rode a 08 Ultra and thought it was nice but it did not fit me. I rode a 09 and it is a completely different bike. The fit is much better and the bike handles better with the stiffer frame and there are 242 changes on the 09 over the 08 so its not just a few little things you notice at first. I find so many things different from my friends 99 its like its not even the same type of bike. But just to take a casual look they look the same. In Oregon the list price for a loaded 09 ultra is 23,995. No trade in you can get one for 22,900 or so. We don't have a sales tax so that helps sell bikes. My dealer sold 12 new bikes last saturday alone.

I think I would look for an '09 for that price...you might get lucky...

Thanks for the input. Sounded like a good deal but now I'm not so sure. I've looked and talked to other dealers but with ABS and security the price was a couple of grand higher. H'mmm, have to sleep on it I guess.

 

I'd seriously look for an 09 at those numbers. But think about it, the 2010 models are due out in 5 months. There's going to be some good deals on the horizon for 09's. Personally, with all the changes on the 09's, I wouldn't spend that kind of $$ for an 08. Just one opinion.....

 

Payed less for a 09. Just sayin
