It seems every time I buy something for the bike...with or without telling her first...a package appears at the door with her name on it. Seems she accessorizes herself as often as I do the bike. Good thing she has a good paying job also and she thinks she is staying even...[sm=grinangel.gif]

I just buy what I need for the bikes with out even asking. 99% of the time she doesn't care. 1% of the time she complains.

My wife and I just got into a huge fight over me buying something for my bike the other day. Today, I found myself in the Harley store deciding if I really needed the add-on or do I really want to keep it peacefull at home. I chose the add-on, like always. Now, I am sleeping on the couch tonight. But my bike looks sweet.....

Has anyone been there and done that? If so, lets hear the story.
Alrite, you guys are killing me here. I'm laughing soo hard I can hardly work. Mine sees it my way. I buy what I need and want. She rides 80 % of the time with me and loves Harleys. I guess I got it good compared to some I've read. I'll come back from a run put the bike in the air and she's asking " What's new ?" One time she asked how much it cost and I told her about 6 pair of her shoes that I put on Ebay. I actually hid a few pair one time and she really thought I had sold them. Had a big laugh over that one.

I was doing a pretty god job of hiding it, just telling her "oh no honey, that came stock", that was until she started noticing all the real stock parts hanging on the wall of the garage. I guess I didnt think that out very well. However when we bought a new couch I made sure it was comfy just for evenings like that one, One or two nights on the couch now and then is worth new chrome.

Wife here....

I went and ordered the SE II's for hubbys new bike and paid for them while he was at work! Brought them home and he installed them. I'm the one that has a spending issue for the new glide lol!

This is my philosphy....riding and owning this bike is something we do together. I want to be involved and learn all that I can so when we buy MY bike, I know what's what! After 18 years of marriage, we learned long ago to discuss major purchases. Now the Harley was a major purchase! But in our house, chrome, pipes, extras.........nah....not worth the fight

BluesJopo:
I wish my wife was like that! Then I wouldn't spend so much time at the HD Dealer...

If I traded my Black Road King for a Black Ultra Classic do you think my wife would notice the difference?Maybe I should tell her I bought a lot of accessories for the RK(Hmmm theres a thought)
all thinking is giving me headaches, need to go for a ride to release the pressure!
