For you guys with the 103 inch motors: Are you happy with the results? Would you do it again? I've got a quote of $1,500 including labor that I'm mulling over and could use some advise.
I did the stage II. I am pretty happy with it. Good torque. I did a SERT and dyno tune that helped it some too. I would do it again. But I may do more. LOL, it is never ending!!

Good to see your $$ about what my dealer quoted me. I've been told it's the best bang for the buck, so as soon as I can scrounge up the buck, I'll probably do it!
I love mine did a stage II and Master tune - getting close to my old 110 and no weeping cylinders or other problems - 105 mph with my 300 lb big butt on it!
I really enjoy mine and would do it again. However, if I had more cash I would have done the HQ107. The 103 is not a hot rod by any stretch, but it does make 6th gear useful.
Thanks for the input, that's what I wanted to hear. Once Uncle Sam gives me my wages back I'm going for it. And yea, I was "done" last year with a new fender and amp. Three months latter...
Well i have a CALIFORNIA 103 stage 2 (with cams) stock heads. Due to CA restrictions, i couldnt put on better heads(per dealer). I am happy with the 103 and the 255 cams (this is how the bike should have come stock)lol. Having sad that and loving power, i would have gone with the 107 or the 110 if i already had the 103. (still want to do my heads)
If you can.. go with suggestions on here.. 255 have good low end torque. If your going to do the 103.... do the jugs, cams, heads and a sert and youll be happy if going from a stock 96... (for the time) then youll want more! like all of us!
I like mine, if I were to make any changes I would have went with more ported heads. if not for the power gain as I now have 108 but for the sound. There is something to be said about the grunt and growl of a pumped motor that ported heads make (the exh is actually louder than a non ported engine due to the extra air flow).
