Florida "flat-lander" here who's a fan of engine breaking but ride pretty hard for an old-fart and have 18K on my '07 RK.

Almost to the end with 2nd rear tire (installed another OEM back there), still on original front tire (also ready to replace it), and pretty even wear (about 2/3 to 3/4 gone) on all three sets of brake pads.

Planning to install Lyndals Z+ in all 6 holes and some new E3s (F&R) within a month from now.

Strange if they wore out that quick. There is a bulletin and a kit to fix the rear brake squeal also.
I think the Brendals are supposed to be the best for stopping.

I change the rears on every tire change and the fronts every other tire change.
I get about 8k miles on a set of tires front and rear

If you are like me who does a lot slow riding technique practicing which drags the rear brake you can expect to get 12K from them. Just this week end I discovered I need rear brake pads for my 07 RKC and I was going to post a thread asking for some recommendation which pad to go with.

My '95 EGC still has the original pads front and rear and with 45K+ miles show about 50% (I have a new set for comparison). My '06 Streetglide w/25K shows about the same. I ride both bikes hard and fast and consider my brake pad life to be about normal. My riding buds do about the same. The EGC has had 9 rear tires and 4 fronts - the Streeter is on it's 3rd rear and 2nd front.
