Does anyone have a copy of the template that they wouldn't mind scanning and emailing? I bought a take-off set of mirrors from a fellow member and I've got no idea where to drill holes. It would be nice if I could do this right the first time
I don't have one anymore, but maybe someone could scan one full scale and send it to you.
One note, I felt the template set the mirrors too low, about a 1/2" higher would be right in my book. However, I seat tall in the saddle..
is this the bigfokker that used to be on vtxoa ? I have a template will email if I can find it
Damn skippy! There's the old X in the thumbnail below...I wish I could have both You still have yours?

Mine has printed instruction sheets for me several times...At least it can't hurt to ask..
That'll be my last resort if no one here can supply a copy. I try to stay away from my dealer...all the new bike smells get my heart pumping and they aren't in my budget right now

Great suggestion, thanks for the heads up! I sit rather tall as well, but I have a stripper seat that drops me in the frame a tad more than most.
You should say which version of the fairing mounted mirrors you have since the original version used three holes to attach the mirror, and the newer version uses one hole to locate the mirror and a second hole for the threaded stud/nut to secure it to the inner fairing.
PM Dawg for the template(s). The newer version only uses one, IIRC. Don't have mine any more since I sent it to a member a year or so ago.

More helpful info...I thought they were all the same. I do remember seeing somewhere that HD recalled some inner's because the holes were drilled too low or something like that.
The template I'm looking for is the two hole version. My mirrors have the threaded bolt in the center and then the little nipple for alignment.
