One note, I felt the template set the mirrors too low, about a 1/2" higher would be right in my book. However, I seat tall in the saddle..
+1! I have the ones with the convex portion top insideon my Ultra Classic and love them. Mounted 1/4 inch higher and found they are perfect there. At 6'0 on the stock seat I sit up pretty tall, too

The template is a thin vinyl material.
When I print this picture of the template is it to actual size? May be a dumb question but I would hate to drill holes in the wrong spot. Thanks.

Drill the holes 1/2 to 3/4 inch higher so you won't be looking at the back of your knuckles

I just purchased and installed the fairing mirrors on my ultra. I found the template to not be right for me so i put whiteout on the tip of the thread part of each mirror and placed it where i liked it. this left a mark for me to drill. once i drilled that hole. i placed the threaded stud through the hole and lined up the other nipple using whiteout again. drilled that one placed the mirror in its position. attached the bolt and done. perfect fit.
