The 3 bar light is not working, Is there a bulb or does the whole unit have to be replaced?
The manual does not say anything about a bulb.
Any help would be great. Thanks
It's a sealed, LED unit. If you are still under warranty, HD may replace it for you. Otherwise, you will need to buy one. Consider replacing it with the run/brake light version HD offers. It costs more but the added feature of the brake light is worth the extra $$$ IMO.
I agree with what was previously said and also suggest you check (if you haven't already) the plugin under the seat where the light connects to the wire harness just for giggles.
Same happened to my '08 SG. They pulled the whole LED module and replaced it under warranty. Took them less than an hour. The dealership said it was a common problem with the units.
I got home from having my tour-pak installed and while I was cleaning all the greasy fingerprints off it, I noticed the rear fender tri-bar light was out. I rode up to the dealer the next day and they said the light assembly was at fault.
My opinion is that when the dealer tech rerouted the AM/FM antenna cable up to the tour-pak he must have pulled a little too hard on the wiring harness. This was NOT the only problem I have had with ****-poor work from their service department.
Anyway they agreed to put the running light / stop light combo in there and only charged me the difference. It was around $20.
Well called H-D, they want to look at the light to see if warranty will cover the light.
the 07 streetglide goes in thursday. Will keep you posted. On another note when did a rear tire get so expanse, qouted $275 from the dealership.
