6-7 k is all I have on it and I put the RJ's, under seat deflectors and they worked out great. The dealer did suggest a SERT too, but I didn't think I need a programable unit at this time as I did not plan to increase the CI I just wanted a cool running cruiser.
The bike I traded for the Ultra was a 2001 Deuce and I did have the stage 1 breather and reflash and opened the muffler up, and that was great for me. It made that bike run and sound very nice. I was looking for some tried add ons that seemed to work. And yes the EPA has messed up the running of the newer bikes. Tree huggers don't ride Harleys This we know. Thanks for your inputs.
PCV from Fuelmoto... $289
Jackpot Dyno Tuned Mufflers... (Less than $300)
HD Premium Oil Cooler.... ($255 shipped from Chicago HD)
Oil Temp Gauge ($114 or less just to keep an eye on things)
In that order!
Shouldn't cost this to get it running right but let me tell ya.....best mods ever made for just under a grand total....
I paid a little more cause I got the autotune...but you don't need that.
My bike runs now at a rock steady 215 degrees (oil temp).
I went with the O2 IEDs from nightrider as soon as I got my bike. Worked great as described in an earlier post. However this weekend, I went with the Stage 1 from FuelMoto. The bike runs and sounds great. I would recommend either option depending on what you want the end result to be. If you just want to cool it off a bit go with the O2 IEDS. If you want better sound, less heat better running do a search on FuelMoto, read the reviews and then give them a call. They are great with customer service
I'm very impressed with the Fuel Moto power package. My '09 runs much cooler now, and the two custom maps FM sent me have been spot-on. If you like a quiet bike the FM Stage 1 plus PCV alone result in a much cooler bike and you do get a bit more power. This package gives a lot of flexibility for future mods thanks to Fuel Moto's great map support.

SERT will definatly help with a free flow air cleaner and good set of slipons, don't use the Screamin Beagle mufflers and don't get that worthless download.
You can also concider an oil cooler these also help.
Just remember no matter what you do you are sitting on top of a 96 cubic inches of air cooled engine and heat rises.
I got an 08 Ultra and my passenger really complained about the diff in heat compared to previous 03 Ultra. I installed engine heat sheilds, true duals, s/e air intake. s/e race tuner and then on the dyno. She said all that made a big diff.
>Found a guy selling fan cooled oil coolers for bikes in Daytona yesterday.
>Said they would drop the oil temp 60 degrees.
>Check his web at WWW.enigmaconceptsinc.com
The Enigma Concepts thing sounded pretty interesting, but the website's just a commercial. No pricing, no availability, no dealer listing. Peh. 60 degrees? Want one.
I don't think that the Harley products are "street legal" EPA compliant either. (Race Tuners).
Go with the Power Commander V (from Fuel Moto) and live happy. I rode this weekend with temps in the 60s and I still had my removable "soft lowers" on the bike and normally they would have made the bike hot but not any more. I kept checking the oil temp dipstick and she was fine the entire day. The Stage 1 did cool the bike down, but I am burning more gas too. (Not worried about mileage but need to check that in the future.)
And by the way, there is nothing wrong with the new Screamin' Eagle Touring Mufflers from HD - I love mine!
