07 + ids = wooohooo
I finally got around to putting the Isolated Drive setup on my 07 Ultra This morning - and - WOW. It really makes it ride a lot smoother and quieter.
I wasn't ever really bothered by the tranny noise and stuff since I try my best to drown out any possible motor / tranny noises with the V&H pipes and turning up Kid Rock etc.. to the maximum volume.
After reading lots of good things about the IDS - I went ahead and picked it up this winter but just got around to jacking her up and putting it on. Since it is stock on 08 and up - this was a no-brainer modification.
I'll tell you this much - most of the "Harley" mods I have purchased - absolutely suck - ie the heated hand grips (SUCK - and now don't work at all) - THe digital Oil Dipstick - (Lasted about 13 months before filling up with oil and biting the dust) - Not to mention all the sorry taiwan plastic/chrome parts (Button Covers)... But this particular Modification is extremely well engineered and radically changes the motorcycle for the better. I was quite impressed with the way it retrofit - directly onto my 07 just like it should have been there in the first place... hmm - kinda made me wonder......

Hey Radrex, I have ordered this ids every one speaks so highly of, could you help out here, does the spacer that comes with the ids replace the thick spacer on the left side between the swingarm and sprocket? or does it add on. I would think it would replace it, correct. thx in advance, I ordered 2 one for my neighbor we both have 07 rkc and 07 ultra, does it really work?
