Hate to dig up old threads, especially when I have not posted recently. I discovered that there was a great tour pak storage rack on RoadGlide.org. The gentlemen "Wheelie" was building them. Ironically, he also sales race equipment on Ebay under the name of Blockzilla. In this thread there are two entries by Blockzilla marketing Wheelie's rack. Just makes me shake my head.

I just built one yesterday. The tourpak will sit on top and the pass backrest will hang under. Also put in another bar to store other accessories

Does anyone know if Wheelie from the roadglide forum still make those storage racks and how much? I went on that forum and the last post the guy said he didn't answer him.

Send a message to Blockzilla on this forum. Same guy! I don't think he has been active on the Roadglide forum since last year. He was selling a lot of his product (seems like a good product) and he was told he would have to register as a vendor on the site to continue. I don't think any have been sold since then.

Default GREAT.....if ya wanna buy one

These are all great ideas. I'd rather build one than buy one. I've got the ability, tools and materials, what I need is a good set of plans. I really like the yellow one made out of what appears to be 3" flat bar. My question is, does anyone have a set of plans, or know where someone can get a set of plans. If it comes down to it I could measure the four point docking kit on my bike and the dimensions on my tour pack, kinda hoping someone has a set of plans for that yellow one.

I threw mine together with 2x4s, deck screws and an old curtain rod.
How it looks empty.

How it looks being used.

Back rest and sissy bar fit on rack when tour pack on bike. Backrest and sissy bar fit inside tour pack when solo. Not pretty, but practical. I store two boxes on the legs that fit under the bar.

Tools: hack saw, crosscut saw, screw gun. Time 10 minutes.

Yeah man that works but I'm looking for something a little more.....polished, lol. Not knocking your work man, just not what I'm looking for. I've got all the materials to fab one out of steel. I think I'm gonna just get all my measurements when I get to work tomorrow and wing it. I'll post some piks of the complete unit when I'm done.
