so i've been tossing around this thought in my head.should i trade in my 04 heritage for a new street glide really sharp looking bike.has anyone gone from a softail to one of these? have any regrets?and a lot of these have the 95" motor.is it a slug with the stock motor?
i want to make sure i'll like the ride and handleing compared to my heritage.i dump a lot of $$$ into my heritage hate to give it up and not have second thoughts.that's even if they give me a good trade in value for it
I just did this last Sunday. I traded in my Soft Tail Night Train for a SG. There is no compairison. The SG rides like a dream. It does take a bit to get used to due to being a little heavier and if there are strong cross winds. I doubt that you would regret it at all.
To me my bike is a slug while stock. Pipes, PC III and A/C will wake it up. You would probably do that anyways.

I'm biased but I'm 99.999%, almost postively, without a doubt, gaurantee ya you will not look back and regret the step up from the softail to the Street Glide - it's one awesome ride [sm=biker.gif]
... there's only one Caveat and that is that it's just my $0.02 [sm=smiley2.gif]
The street glide is a great bike I'm sure you will like it. I traded a road king for mine. Stage 1 helps bring sound and performance up to what is needed. I have been riding street bikes all my life and this bike is more fun to ride than any other bike I have been on.
