Sorry to tell ya but most dealers are on to the 21" burning the paint off the fender. Looks like this one is coming out of your pocket.

as you speed increased the tire probably became narrower therefore became larger diameter causing it to rub. but that is just my idea. it sucks learning a lesson the hard way.

When you buy a new wrap fender I wan't to buy the old fender to cut the sides down for my project. I'll fix the paint....with new black.

You guys telling him to take it back to the dealer wonder why the service guys act like a** holes ? It's from people making mods to their bikes that end up causing a problem and then you want the dealer to pay for your screw up !! Give me a break. If you can't afford to "pay" then don't "play".

I had the same problem, I drilled out the bushing and moved it and tacked it in and re shot the fender.

I had the same problem and here is the solution that will cost you the least amount of money.

1) Drop the front wheel and you can see on the inside where the tire rubbed

2) Spray paint the INSIDE of the fender where you see the rub mark black

3) Loosen the bolts and lift the fender up as far as you can

4) Install the wheel and ride for about 3 months

5) Drop the wheel and see if the black paint on the inside is not damaged

6) If no damage, repaint your fender and move on. (Just remember to lift it up as high as you can on the reinstall.

How much clearance did you have on the tire? either way with a new fender or with the old one it's going to have to be repainted. Did you drill out the rear hole to tilt it up?
