Went with the red LED. I think it can be seen better. Everyone I ride with say's it lights up the night when I hit the brake. I have a EGC, so I also went with the tour pak lights.
Together they make a good package.

I went with the smoked lens. I thought the red lens looked kind of out of place stuck up high there. The smoked one is almost unnoticable until it lights up. Seemed like a better look to me.

I went with red, even though I have smoked accessories around the bike. When it comes to alerting drivers behind me, the red brake light is brighter than the one with with the smoked cover. For this, safety is more important than looks in my opinion.

Just a question...
When you wire in the light, is it a splice or is there a connector?

I went with the smoked, it blends in til' lit. And they give you all the connectors, no splicing.

On my 08 EGC there is a connector in the tour pak. All the wiring and the connector you need come with the new light.
