You can go with 11.5" shocks to lower another .5" then I also THINK there is a kit for lowering your bike. Try looking on ebay it seems that's where most people get thiers.
Remember you said it best, it is already lowered. Now ponder if you want to change ride comfort, dragging on turns, dragging on speed bumps, will the kick stand works as is,
I lowered the front of my SG with the HD profile low kit made for the 06 Touring Bikes. I then ordered a rear lowering kit from E-bay, So Low is the maker. It looked great. Rode like a lowered softail though. It bottomed out sereval times but only at highway speeds. I tried adding air to the shocks but it kept bottoming out. I am not heavy either, a buck sixty clothed and having been thrown in the pool. I took it out but I will keep it to put in when I want the low look and dont need a nice ride.
Like Cheyenne said, you can go to 11.5" shocks-the boards wont drag unless you ride super aggressive, the kicksatnd will still work, and as long as you go slow over speed bumps you wont hit the bottom of the frame, and the ride will not suffer from just 1/2 inch loss of travel as long as you use quality shocks such as progressive. I know, because my RK Custom has the same shocks as your SG and I lowered the forks 1 inch and replaced low profile shocks with 11.5" Progressive 440's-rides great! I ride two up often and am even riding it tomorrow to Laughlin with my girlfriend-I have never bottomed out. But I did drag a floorboard one time, but I was purposely pushing the bike hard around a turn to see what the max lean angle was. I have made plenty of tight u-turns since I lowered it and dont drag boards.
I believe the SG is lowered with the HD lowering shocks, which lower the tail about 3/4". What you should be able to do is go with a SoLow 1-1/4" lowering kit and with a stock touring shock. This should drop you another 1/2" and give you a better ride than the lowering shocks give you.
I just purchased a lowering kit for the touring bikes from ebay (sellers company was R.U.B. lowering kit). He has kits for everything from 1.5" to 3". All for around $100.00. Just received it today so I haven't had a chance to install it and test it out (since bike is still in pieces at the shop).
