Default HD Security System

Just picked my new 09' streetglide. Was wondering if anyone here has installed the HD security system themselves or should I have the dealer do it. Thanks for your response.

You can install it yourself, it's just a turn signal module that you need to replace. But here's the problem, your ECM has to be programmed for it, and the only way to program it is to hook your bike up to Digital Technician II which has to be done at a dealership. So I guess my advice to you os to just go ahead and let them put in in.

I just installed mine a week ago, followed the directions here... http://www.hdtalking.com/alarms_and_...m_install.html

dealer charged me $10 to program the fob in my ecm...I installed the smart siren II also, and the rechargable pager

As RDKingRider said I had the dealer do it so it would be under the warranty.
