Doing the BigBore kit and cams (next week I hope, finally). Because I am removing the heads I was wondering why spend another $100 or so on push rods. The heads will be ported but NOT milled. The stockers should fit right in. Right?
Gary
If you are using a hot cam, then yes, you will need the adjustable push rods....
More than likely, you are getting 203's or 4's.... The stock rods will work just fine....
Some shops will attempt to push the adjustable rods, so they don't have to do a Full Repair (Cam Cavity, Oil Pump area)... and cut out the stock rods...
Hold it. I just remembered I am using the Cometic head gasket which I believe is less thick than the stock one. I guess that means i'll have to get the stock head gasket or those expensive push rods.
Gary
Actually I am doing the Anderson TW26G cams and gear drive.

With the info that you have posted now ( ANDREWS TW 26 Geared Cam [SE 203 comparable], Cometic .030 or .045), you can still utilize the stock rods, but if it is already in the deal, go with the SE Adjustables.....
