I am happy to hear that. I just received my PCV yesterday and plan to install it this week. All I read was good things about it until I read your post and another that are having problems with it. I had the slow start problem with the PCIII on my '06 SG and I was hoping it was a problem that was resolved with the PCV. I also know that the bike will start right up if you don't wait for the engine light to go off. But even if I did wait for the light it didn't take that long to start, just about 3 or 4 seconds. I would like to hear how things work out for you after you get an opportunity to ride.

HogDawg, keep us posted! The PCV for my '08 Road Glide is due this week and I am eager to compare experiences. Do you anticipate a Dyno tune, or do you think the FuelMoto map will be satisfactory for you?

... and could you talk about the tight installation (pics would be great!). Did you install the unit as described in the instructions, or did you have to improvise another location since your bike is an '08?

I installed the PCV on my 08 EGS. There seemed to be plenty of room on my bike. The PCV is a pretty small unit. The only thing I noticed that could be described as tight is when you remove the battery to route the cable from the ECM to the right side panel. The cable is short and you have just enough room to reroute and reinstall the battery. After that, it fit right in. My bike doesn't have ABS though. I followed the instructions that Jamie sent for my bike. They looked like they were put together for the 08. Here's a picture just after I connected everything.

Thanks, Dennis! Looks like the install should be easy. The cable that's coming out of the bottom of your unit - looks like a USB cable - what is that? Did you velcro the unit to the bike or use 3M double-sided tape?

The PCV comes with a 3M tape that locks together like velcro...only much stronger. I only used a small amount of it for the PCV and AT modules....used the rest for a key chain type garage door opener and the remote for my LED lights.

It was easy. That cable is a USB cable. I connected the supplied cable to the PCV and temporarily routed it up under the seat and to my right saddlebag. That way I can quickly open the bag, connect my laptop and look at the data from the PCV. I was checking the engine temp after various rides. Once I get tired of tinkering, I will just unhook it but for now it is very easy to connect the PCV to the laptop without removing the side cover.

I used the supplied 3M tape that locks like velcro. It is very strong and secures the unit very well. The bike runs and sounds great. I would recommend this upgrade and Fuel Moto to anyone.

The instructions that came with the kit from Jamie were quite good with lots of pictures. There really is nothing to it. Just plug and play pretty much.
