www.mchitch.com great hitch for a reasonable price. They also sell plug and play wiring harneses for the Harley touring bikes. I have pulled my 400lb camper now for 2 years almost 5K and never had an issue with the clutch.
+1 on the Bushtec, just get the ball instead of the hitch pin. It may very well be the best hitch/reciever combo on the market and it was custom-made for the FLH. Order the FLH harness and like campincowboy says, it's basically a plug and play.
+2 for the Bushtec setup. the hitch and wiring fit well, and when I'm not using, the stinger part of the hitch is removable so that you don't keep banging your shin on it.
OK, that BushTec is top of the line stuff. It's definitely on my shopping list, and I've spent hours looking at other trailers available. I'm convinced that it's the best. Many others out there though for a lot less $$.
That may be true, BigSky.... but will it look as good?
MC Hitch--Very good price, very good product.I also did alot of research, wanted the receiver style and needed all wiring..Great wiring pkg. and very easy install.
Great people to work with, even on Sundays when I had a question on a converter box, that they promptly replaced @ no chg.---Bradd
Installed a HitchDoc on our '02 to pull our Aluma. No clutch problems. I did have the fork in the trailer reciever start to bend after a few years. I installed a swivel hitch from Dauntless Motors to solve that problem.
