Default 09' threw a code.. HELP !

My wife and I were out riding, I stopped a topped off the tank. I turned the bike back on and after about a mile the engine light came on. The bike would not accelerate worth a damn. Almost like it was only on one cylinder and the sound coming out of the pipes sounded muffled (no jokes). I took it to an indy dealer and he hooked it up to the computer. The code they got was for the right turn signal and possibly the security system. After cycling the ignition switch a couple of times it seemed to be fine. They did notice that the charging system seemed to be low, it was reading around 13 or 14. I was told that if the system goes below 12, the engine management system kicks in. I took the bike out all day on Sunday and it seemed OK.

Any ideas? The bike is an 09' Ultra Classic with approximately 2500 miles.

Thanks,

Did you clear the code? If not go check the historical code and post what it was.

I had a similar problem with an '05 Deuce. It was a loose ignition wire. Worked most of the time, but sometimes it bounced around and lost good contact. Go through all the connections you can find from the battery on down. Good luck.

Not sure if the shop cleared the code. How would I check?

had the same thing happen to me but was stranded. I only had the bike for 2 days. 08 flht. come to find out the ecm plug needed to be securely fastened. I'd say check that and check the pins. I have mine ducktaped secure now.
