There are many contradictions and false assumptions in this guys statements (such as m/c tires are 25 year old technology). He and any of you are welcome to do this. I am all for improving and refining the mocos work, but this is not for me.
I've seen people with them (mostly on GoldWings). Most said they didn't notice much difference in handling, the ride was a little softer as the tire absorbed the bumps.
The tire flexes and the tread stay pretty flat on corners.
Teh reason most do it is they didn't like wearing out a motorcycle tire in 10,000 miles.
One guy claimed to have 40,000 on a car tire that looked to me like it had plenty of life left. He said at 30,000 it still looked new so he'd probably replace it at 50k.
Anyone here running a car tire on their bagger? I want to know more about it.
I need a new back skin this summer so Im snoopin' around for the best way to go.
Thanks.
A car tire on a bagger would mess the whole ride up, anything over a 180 rear tire would do a dishoner to the bikes handling.

Good question here. You'll be doing yourself a favor, as well as anyone that rides with or around you to put a motorcycle tire on your bike. Motorcycles put loads on a tire that no car tire is designed for and mounting one on your bike jeapardises stability and safety. Although there are radical customs with a car tires these aren't ridden far if at all. Only a fool would put a car tire on any motorcycle. Please, don't take my word for it - do some research. And if you decide on the car tire let me know where you'll be riding so I can stay the hell away.
