Thanks for all your responses and pic's. I'm putting in my order for the Stealth Detach Rack right now.. I wonder if my wife has gotten tired of all the boxes piling up in the garage yet...lol

Yes, I really do this. I have an Beretta OU that I carry in a hard breakdown case which I bungee to the rack. I can easily fit 10 boxes of shells in the saddle bag along with my shooting vest.

I love the one thats separate from the backrest. It's large enough to be usefull and looks good too. I like to keep it on around town all year long. And I can take it off to clean.

I plan on getting the detachable for my '09 (for behind the passenger sissy bar) but the one they currently offer for the '09 touring bikes is SMALLER than the one for previous years which ticks me off. It looks too small. Why they didn't stay with the same size rack and just change the mount for the '09 is beyond me. So at this point I'll wait for them to hopefully offer a second and larger rack.

Benelli SportII Semi here... I've come close to tying on the breakdown case, might have to give it a try.

I've got a detachable rack and use it often when I happen to get a take-out on the way home from work. Strap dinner down w/bungies and back on the road.

I have a "Stealth" (a.k.a. "The Claw") on my '08. NON-detachable on the '08's, so I'm just a little jealous.

Not that I don't like it anyway... And it certainly gets it's fair share of use.
