Smile I did it.....

So I finalized the deal yesterday with the dealer, traded in my 05 Fatty for an 09 blue flame pearl Ultra. In the 40 mile ride home I know I will never look back on this decision....WOW!! Don't get me wrong, I loved riding that soft tail but the Ultra is just in a different class, I never thought I would like to ride with a backrest....wrong! I will be going out today to put on as many of the 500 break in miles as I can......I'm like a kid waking up on Christmas morning.....Oh by the way my beautiful wife of 23 years tells me she feels a lot of vibration while riding down the road. the dealer told me the rear suspension should have 18-20 psi but in the owners manual it says with a rider it should be 50 psi???? Anyone think this could be the cause for the vibes?

50 is the most with a passenger.....

Please read your owners manual regarding the correct amount of air in your shocks both solo and 2-UP....Then adjust it accordingly to your comfort level....

50 PSI is quite abit in those rear shocks! I'm sure she was feeling the road quite abit. HDV-Glide is absolutely correct...look in your manual. It might take abit of fooling with it to get it where your wife likes it two-up...but you will find a happy medium quick.

Welcome to the touring/bagger club!

ride safe, Mike

Hi neversatisfied
We have and 09 Ultra. It's a great bike! When I'm alone I have around 25 lbs. When we ride together I bump it up to around 45 lbs.

Congrats on the Ultra! Mine came with about 5 PSI in the shocks and bottomed out fairly easily on these new england roads, I run 45-50 2 up, but have left it there for solo as well.
