You guys are making a lot of sense. Thanks for the feed back, now do I do the fairing or the air ride system and put her in the dirt. I have to do 1 at a time.
i know memphis shades co just came out with new line of batwing fairings, may want to ck out before you get too far into your piece together. memphis shades has made many qulity products in the past and i would think theses would be good. prices i glanced at looked good.

If you are just looking for the outer shell look i recently bought a scratched 03 ultra outer fairing and cut out around the bottom of the light on the fairing and bolted it to my rk winshield using the top 3 winshield holes and then then drilled through the fairing just behind aux lamps so you cant see them. having my fairing painted right now. heres what the mock up looks like
I am thinking it may be best to keep the ol' eyes peeled for a used Dead Center or something. Found one, with damage and no radio for $650, but that is no bargain!
Will keep looking...good luck to the rest of you RK guys in your similar quest...
I've been researching these, and really like the dead center fairing too, but way outta my price range right now, and my stock beach bars (06 RKCustom) are really becoming a pain in my back and shoulders. So, I've put the fairing on hold and looking into apes. But, when I do get back to the fairing, I think I'm going to look at the memphis shades fairing. You can get it new on Ebay for under $300 plus shipping, and there have been many people on here that are very happy with it. The only drawback is there's no stereo, but everyone knows where there's a will there's a way.
did it last summer. bought a used outer a new inner and brackets from dealer
used set of gauges . and added speaker where the tach and speedo would go.
probaly wont hook up gauges
i noticed these guys in aim mag their fairings lock i have not seen there prices yet but here is a link www.deadcentercycles.com a lock would be nice to have on it.
