fuel question
I was just curious and could not find anything on the net. I was watching a show called Top Gear. The host was talking about a Sweedish car with 825 hp. He said that was with the limp wristed stuff the passes for gasoline in the US. The car would get 850 withthe stuff they use in Europe and 900 with bio fuel.
the biofuel i understand. you get more hp wiht bio fuel. but, does anyone know if there is a difference in the european gas formulas as opposed tothe US.

European octane ratings are higher than those generally seen in the US. Their "regular" is equivalent to ~91 octane fuel, which is "premium" or "high-test" gas in some areas of the country (91 to 94 depending on your locale). They also sell gasoline with octane ratings of 100+ which would qualify as race gas in this country.
