Default Bagger Apes and Cable Lengths

I am simply trying to figure out how much longer you have to go when doing either the 13" Cyclesmiths or the Monkey Bars 12"? I have been told +6 and +8 I am sure someone can help me. I know Bagger Nation sells a kit but I am getting things separately cheaper. I need to know brake line, throttle, idle, and clutch. Thanks in advance.

6" is what I went with and had no problems. The monkey bars are 13" not 12" I know what the site says but they measure out to 13". I am not the only one that has discovered this. good luck.

I just ordered the 12" monkey bars myself and just read about the abs issue. Is there one? I know I don't have to extend the wires or throttle. Just the clutch and brake. Now the brake bleeding has me worried from what I have read. I will know as soon as the service manual comes in but it has been on back order for two months now. WTF?

He said you can re-locate the wiring harness under the fairing you don't have to extend them. Their kit with braided stainless is like $450? maybe a little more its been a while since I priced it. I am sure the kit is great but my local parts guy stocks everything and cheaper.

Stock wires reach, you just have to relocate the wires under the radio. With TBW you will have to splice the throttle senser wires to eliminate the plug in the handle bars. +6 works on the clutch and brake line when you are installing the bars on bike with a fairing.
