go to the marine section at wallyworld the got one that comes with a l bracket it mounted right to the left acorn nut next to the windsheild bag, next run a hot wire to the aux port under the seat(get a crimp on duetch conector from the dealer about 38 cents)then u can control it from the aux switch, u dont even need to ground it IF u pull one of the windsheild mount springs over to the side so it touches metal.
I use Powerlet also. Got a battery tender on one end and sig lighter on the other. Just run it into the saddlebags and plug in whatever accessory needs charging. Sure the phone is in the bag not where I can see it but......wait sorry that's a good thing. I'll worry about the rest of the world when I'm done riding.
I was searching for something else and found this thread - I hate bringing up a thread that is a month old, but I did find a solution that worked out great for me.
Kuryakyn makes a resonably priced power power point that can be mounted in two ways - handlebar clamp or bolts onto the clutch/break assembly...
I intalled one on my RKC not too long ago and integrated my GPS/Camera mount into it. This solution worked out great for me and I hope it gives you some ideas...
