I purchased a new take off faring for 75.00 because I screwed up while drilling my faring mirrors anyway decided before I swapped it out I have it painted.. So trying to track down paint codes HD wont sell me the paint or give out code I will have to bring a side cover to paint shop and see if they can make the color.
my ppg guy just shoots a part like the side panel with the color match gun.
always worked for me. I haven't talked to him about the rootbeer yet but I will.
Take it to a local Paint Shop...The color match technology is pretty darn good and you'll spend less $$.
Just recently did an Anniversary Inner....Picked up a take off inner for about $170 and had it painted for $260
Just ordered my Glacier Pearl White inner fairing and switch cover from the dealer for $ 423.00. Thought the color match would be better, and as it seems, $170 + $260 = $430 vs. $423, seems like a no brainer.
I can sell my take-off on EBAY, for about $ 170, I guess !!
Jeez...$529 plus Tax !. What in the world is HD thinking ?. Can get it alot cheaper elsewhere and do it yourself.

Not so sure about that... MSRP = $529.00 less 20% discount from several HD dealers = $423.96 less $100.00 lowball estimate of what you can sell your stock one on e-bay for = $323.96 not so bad for a factory painted guaranteed match inner fairing !!! The way I look at these 20% off dealers is you don't pay tax either but you do pay freight in most cases which winds up being a wash so your getting about 20% off.
