I would have went the 20% off route but I saw a deal and jumped on it so now I decide to try have it painted no big deal I could sell it and buy a new painted one or just use the one I purchased..

HD doesn't have paint codes for purchasing their paint; they use part nos. It's extremely unlikely that you will get an HD part no. for your Custom color root beer. Like the CVO colors, HD doesn't sell that paint except in touch-up kits. And even if you could buy it from HD, you'd be buying a quart plus activator for $100 or so.
Buying the painted part from HD, selling your take-offs and your $75 replacement will probably net out costing you $100 for a perfect color-matched inner and cap.
Dawg did a beautiful job with a painter to color-match his '08 Anniversary Ultra in two-tone and pinstripe. Will cost you more, but a lot of bang for the cosmetic buck IMO.
