recently bought an 06 FLHXI and wanted to buy an 2nd hand HD Ultra Classic OEM Seat so that my wife can ride confortably.. it will be off most all the time and i'll go with my solo seat that's why i dont want to spend much money in a double tourer seat . i found cheap items in ebay but they say it wont fit FLHX or ROAD GLIDES.. arent they the same_? always did that change in my other touring bikes without problems ELECTRA STANDARD and ROAD KING...
thanks
Having an 08 Electra which is the only stock seat I ever loved .. I do not that it is interchangable with the Street Glide which was originally on getting .. but when offered me a Brand New left over EGS for close to 5K less than an 09 SG what like the Godfather .. An Offer I couldn't refuse..
The reason is the nose of the seat (the front) overlaps the tank console on the SG, which extends down father than on the Electraglides. It will rub and damage it eventually. The SG and RK seats have a shorter nose on them.
