Chippewa's motorcycle boots with the velcro closure (2 straps) are the absolute best. They have an extra piece of leather sewn over the foot on both sides especially to cover the shifting issue. Can't be beat for the $$. Shop around, and you can get them for less than $150.

I have had the same problem with my HD boots. Looks like time to go shopping.

Cruiserworks, totally comfortable, totally waterproof. And when you wear them out, they'll resole them for about 40 bucks. Might be a little more now a days. Customer service is awesome. Check out their website.

+1 on the Red Wings. I went through a lot of boots in the last two years trying to find something to wear to the 105th (and ride 1,000 miles). When we got there, we walked around alot over 5 days at all the different functions. Every night, pulling the boots off, my feet still felt good.

For me, the HD boots are pure junk in comparison for long term comfort and riding.

+1 on Chippewa; excellent quality, comfortable to walk in, and made in the USA!

I've been wearing these for years, comfortable all year round and weather conditions.

I am still waiting for my steel toe flip flops to come in. They are a must for this Texas heat!
