I'm looking to change the sound of my roadglide this summer. I currently have screamin' eagle pipes with a stage 1 kit (came with the bike through private sale). I'm trying to find something "crackly" and reasonably loud. I don't want anything that will wake up the neighbors...at least if they're deep sleepers - light sleepers can go to hell.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I did the V&H Classic slip ons, with the stock header.
From what I've been told, and what I've read - changing the header dramatically changes the sound, and gets you to the volume you want.
(At least the volume I want - my last bike had V&H longshots - and those were AWESOME on my 99 Fat Boy!)
I've got a similar setup to yours. SEII mufflers, stage 1 intake, PCIII and stock headers. I'm putting Vance and Hines dresser duals on this weekend. I have heard them before and I'm looking forward to the "louder" stereo sound.
I like my SEs. Nice mellow sould, good growl when you crack it and street legal everywhere, which ought to be a concern if you are traveling these days.
