I noticed that one of the backside U collars or clamps for lack of an exact part descriptor was installed inproperly. I am changing it to fit correctly and am wondering if I should use either lock Tite or anti seize on these 4 hex bolts (two for each peg).
The slipping is approximately 1/4 inch in a forward direction only on thr right foot peg.
If I still notice this "slipping" once the collar is tightened properly,(should tighten up) is there anything that I can use in between the U clamps and the bar its'self to add width in order to provide a better grip?
Thanks
If you have or can find an old bicycle inner tube lying around you can cut a small piece to go between the bar and clamp. Works like a champ and you can trim it to the point that it doesn't show.
cool..that solves that problem as it is just barely loose enough to move. Not as much though. I dont want to crank down any harder. Bolts might break
Should I use Lock Tite?
